Who we are
Our website address is: http://blog.sanninja.com.
Personal data we collect and why we collect it
I have comments turned off for the general population. This is due to all of the spambots out there who just want to insert ads. I will have registered users however, who will be allowed to leave comments. To become a registered user all you need to do is connect to me on LinkedIn and I will respond with a password. If a registered visitors leave a comment on the site I may collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should know that images may contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website with not only the GPS locations that the image was taken, but also the type of camera device used.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We have no data to share. You are just being paranoid, unless they really are out to get you….just don’t tell them where I live. I don’t need that kind of trouble.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Wait….No. Scratch ALL that. I wont store any data about you since I will only refer the account back to linked-in. I expect you NOT to post anything that obligates me to keep your comment for administrative/legal/security purposes. In fact ask yourself before you submit a comment “will this obligate the SAN Ninja to keep something” and if the answer is even a ‘possibly yes’ then you should just fuck off.
Where your data is sent
I don’t send your data anywhere, in fact I don’t want your data, I don’t want to store it, I don’t want to be the custodian of it in any way. I will feed all of your data to the zombies and run off.

Additional Information
How we Protect your Data
Protect your data, you must be kidding, I will kidnap your data, tie it up and water-board it until it tells me where the missing nuclear launch codes are hidden. I have no intention of protecting your data.
What data breach procedures we have in place
They say if you fail to plan then you plan to fail…and I plan to fail hard. I have no plans other than to change some passwords. You have this sort of freedom when your site collects no user data, and makes no money from sales or donations or advertising.
What third parties we receive data from
Mostly Reddit, 9Gag, and 4Chan. Seriously if you get a chance check out reddit/r/cableporn for some great work, it always inspires me. What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data: NONE.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
While I work for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, this site is my own and not a HPE Sponsored site. I am not reimbursed.
